Still have some questions?
What is ANPR?
ANPR stands for Automatic Number Plate Recognition. It is a technology used for reading the registration plates of vehicles, usually by cameras located at car park entrances and exits and provides the owner of the car park with data on which vehicles are currently on the premises at any given time. This technology can be integrated with other car park management systems to provide better security, payment taking and ticket issuance.
What type of car park is ANPR suitable for?
ANPR technology is extremely flexible. We have provided ANPR solutions for car park sites of any size. We will be able to design a custom ANPR solution to suit your needs. Please contact us today to find out how we can help you.
How do you distinguish between authorised and unauthorised vehicles?
We will work with you to understand what kind of vehicles should be granted access to your site and create a tailored solution using our suite of car park management solutions. Each solution will give you complete control over access, permits, payments and anything else that you need to keep your site secure and in use only by the vehicles you want.
Do First Parking monitor car park sites?
Yes, we do! We check and monitor all our car park sites to keep you updated on every aspect of your car park, so we will be able to assist with any inquiries and alert you to any problems quickly.
How much does ANPR technology cost?
Because of the potential complexity of finding a solution for each site, costs can vary. Finding a good fit for your car park is extremely important to us, so we will always try to come up with cost-effective proposals that are a good fit for you and your situation.
Do ANPR systems work all year round?
Yes, absolutely. Our solutions are designed to work all day, every day, and we have dedicated support teams that can quickly address issues and outages if they occur, to ensure that any potential downtime is minimal.
What happens if one of my customers gets a parking ticket from an ANPR system?
After working with you to determine which users are genuine, we may issue parking charges for misuse of car parking sites according to these parameters. We aim to be thorough and to only issue parking charges when we are confident of car park misuse. However, we also have a robust and easy appeals process, with advice and support for dealing with each case that arises.
